LIRR Parking Permits

Parking permits are required for all vehicles using Village parking lots near the Plandome LIRR station. These lots are reserved for Plandome residents only.
📍 Permits are not available to non-residents. Violators will be ticketed.

Fees & Payment

  • First Permit: $50.00

  • Second Permit: $100.00

*Cash or check only. No credit/debit cards accepted

Who Can Apply?

  • Must live in the Village of Plandome

  • Vehicle must be registered to a Plandome address

  • Limit of 2 permits per household

Validity & Renewal

  • Permits are valid for 12 months (June 1–May 31)

  • Permits available at Village Hall starting mid-May

  • Grace period ends mid-June

  • After that, cars without valid stickers may be ticketed

Parking Time Limits

  • Vehicles may not remain parked in any Village lot for more than 48 consecutive hours. After that, they may be considered abandoned under Village Code.

Sticker Placement

  • Two stickers required:

    • Rear bumper

    • Rear-view mirror

Replacing a Permit

  • Got a new vehicle?

    • Remove both stickers from your old car

    • Return them to the Clerk’s Office

    • You’ll get a new permit at no cost

Accessing Your Digital Car Registration

  • If you do not have your physical car registration when applying for a Village of Plandome LIRR parking permit, you can access a digital copy through the New York State DMV online:

  1. Go to my.ny.gov.

  2. Sign in using your NY.gov account credentials.

  3. Once logged in, navigate to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) section.

  4. Select the option to view or print your Vehicle Registration.

  • You can print this document or show it digitally when applying for your permit.
